About Me

Sheila Evans by Amy Sinisterra 2

I am a full-time artist, painting in pastel and oil for the past 25+ years. I live in Spokane, Washington, and sell my work in galleries around the Northwest. I spend my summers traveling to art festivals across the west (and sometimes midwest), where I have the pleasure of meeting my customers in person.

I have a studio in a 100-year old industrial building that I share with soon-to-open Iron Goat Brewery, in which I am also a partner. There will be a taproom directly outside the door to my studio.

I have a husband who patiently travels with me to shows, but prefers to brew beer. I also have two cats—a fluffy, himalayan mix boy who has made “cute” into a verb (“look, he’s cuteing again!”), and a scrappy little tortoise shelter girl with mad skills and anger issues.

I like animals so much that I don’t eat or wear them, an I have shared some of my favorite vegetarian recipes here.

For some actually relevant information about me, please check out my CV, Media Room, and About my Art pages.

Your Aunt Judy Lilley Orr sent me an article about you…WOW…you are amazing! We are related as Judy is my cousin…we are direct descendents of James and Susie Lilley! Do you ever come to Omaha when you travel in the summer? I’d love to meet you. Judy and I are trying to arrange a visit sometime next year in Seattle…hope to meet you then!
