Hello!

I am a "new" artist, and have a few upcoming festivals planned. Your write up of the booth evolution was great. Thank you for sharing that experience. I recently purchased an EZ Up tent, as you did, for my first shows. I was VERY impressed with the set up you created!! Can you please tell me how you created the hanging walls? This seems to be a time saver, and very pleasing to the eye! Propanels are simply too expensive at this stage of the game.

Artfully yours,

What a Great story! Here I am, two years of EZ-Ups at the local Medieval Fair, and I'm looking for info how to build a Pipe version of the EZ Up, found your posting. I was in stitches!
Thanks for the comic relief!

Hi Sheila - I really related to the saga of your summers spent planning your tent. For my first show, we hung prints on the grid wall the night before set-up after a rain. Next morning, the tent protected us from any outside rain but ground moisture inside the tent was the culprit. It collected inside the glass covering the prints. Lesson one.

Another time, big storm developed mid-day. A too-large crowd took shelter inside leaving no room to avoid multiple drips from the tent ceiling seams. Emergency run to the hardware store for seam waterproofing. Also, more tarps important for emergency cover. Lesson two.

Loved your work. Hope the weather & the economy are both good to you this year.

Thank you for posting this Sheila. Beautiful artwork! A joy to behold. Just a practical question... How do you obtain electricity for the lights during outdoor shows? Does the show provide it, or do you have to provide it? How do you do that?

Thanks,
Mira

Thanks so much for this post, Sheila. I've just been accepted for my very first showing, and I've been looking for display advice. It's a very up-scale art fair in Kansas City and you have convinced me to bite the bullet and buy good displays up front. Still won't be able to do pro panels like you did, but you have inspired me to make my booth more appealing and solid looking. Excellent post, and I love your new Serenity painting.

Thanks,
Kaelin
